Privacy policy
How Wovenli collects and uses personal data for operator accounts and end-customer bookings.
Last updated: 10 July 2026
Who we are
Wovenli provides hosted websites and booking software for hire businesses, at getwovenli.com and on sites we host for our customers ("operators"). This policy explains how we handle personal data. If you have any questions, contact us at support@getwovenli.com.
Operator account data
When you create a Wovenli account we collect your name, email address and business details (such as your trading name, country and contact details). We use these to provide the service, to bill your subscription, to support you, and to send you service messages about your account. We are the data controller for this information.
End-customer booking data
When a member of the public books with a hire business that uses Wovenli, their booking details (name, contact details, event address) are collected by that business, not by us. Each operator is the data controller for their customers' data; Wovenli processes it on the operator's behalf as a data processor, solely to run their bookings. If you have booked with a hire business and want to exercise your data rights, contact that business directly.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are sent directly to Stripe and never touch Wovenli's systems.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers (subprocessors) to run the platform:
- Cloudflare, for hosting and content delivery
- Neon, for database hosting
- Stripe, for payment processing
- Clerk, for account authentication
- Resend, for transactional email
- Anthropic, for optional AI features, where enabled
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.
Where data is stored
Data is stored and processed in the UK, the EU and the United States by the providers listed above. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
We keep operator account data for as long as the account is active, and afterwards only as long as we need it to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Booking data processed on behalf of operators is retained according to their instructions.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or provide it to you in a portable format. You can also object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@getwovenli.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy we will update this page and, where the change affects your account, tell you by email.
